How to get there

By air

The main airport in Croatia is Franjo Tuđman in Zagreb and it is 26 km away, which is about half hour drive from the venue.

There are also other, sometimes more cost-effective, options available:

Airport Graz GRZ (Austria) – 180 km – 2 hours by car

Airport Vienna VIE (Austria) – 370 km – 4 hours by car

Airport Ljubljana LJUB (Slovenia) – 180 km – 2 hours by car

Airport Venice Marco Polo VCE or Treviso TSF (Italy) – 260 km – 3 hours by car

You can use either public transport (info below) or a shuttle service to get from the airport to the venue.

We can recommend using:

GoOpti shuttle service or

FlixBus international bus/coach rides

By car

We invite you to use Google Maps or other navigation systems.

If you are coming by car and have seats to share or are looking for a ride, please use this spreadsheet.

By public transport

Trip duration: 35 – 40 minutes (time table can be found here)

Price: 8 € (one-way ticket)

Transportation from the Bus Station to Sljeme

➡️Zagreb Bus Station → Zagreb Cable car

Use tram no. 14 to the last station (Mihaljevac), and than tram no. 15 to fourt, last, station where is cable car station.

Trip duration: 35 – 40 minutes by trams and 15 min by cable car.

➡️Zagreb Bus Station → Hotel Tomislavov dom

Use tram no. 14 to the last station (Mihaljevac), and bus no. 140 to the hotel.

Trip duration: 35 – 40 minutes by trams and about 60 min by bus. Time table can be found here.

Car sharing

We have set up a spreadsheet , where you can find other participants:

who have extra seats in their car to share or are looking to join someone in the car, or
who are arriving at an airport and would be interested in sharing a taxi or shuttle to the venue.

If there are more of you we can also organize a van directly to the venue (price upon request).

Please do not book any travel until your registration for the IIT has been confirmed!
